Hackers are not required to pitch ideas although they can if they want to. The idea is for hackers to put the suits away and focus on what they do best - Hacking. So, they are just required to listen to pitches made by changemakers. then they choose which problems they want to hack and solve.

All Problems will be based on Ghana's National development.

We also require that all submissions be freely available for other hackers to fork, redeploy, and hack on. We don't require any particular flavor of open-source license but recommend the MIT version. You can check out others here: http://choosealicense.com/
